Add the points scored during melding with the points scored during trick-taking to tally the sum of points each player scored during the hand.
Generally the first player to reach 1000 points wins the game though a different ceiling （minimum score required to win） can be agreed upon. Know that a Pinochle "flush" consists of the Jack Queen King 10 and Ace of the trump suit only. A flush is valued at 150 points while the extremely rare "double flush" wins 1500 points.
A double flush consists of two complete flushes in a single hand.
After all 15 tricks are played out each player counts the number of counters （aces tens and kings） that they have managed to accumulate in their trick pile. These counters are valued at 10 points each and the winner of the last trick can count an additional 10 points for that.
If the three cards discarded by the bidder before play include any counters the values of these are included in the bidder‘s total. There are several ways to count up the points for play but the
